Polyurea is the heavy end of waterproofing: a two-part resin sprayed hot at high pressure that cures within seconds into a seamless, extremely tough elastomeric skin, typically around 3mm thick. It is what gets specified where the surface has to take genuine punishment and where downtime has to be minimal, because it is walkable within the hour rather than the day.
This is a commercial specification rather than a domestic one. The equipment involved means there is a practical minimum area below which it simply is not viable, so it suits large roofs, podium decks, plant areas and car park levels rather than a house terrace. Where it does fit, nothing else performs quite like it.
